August 17, 2010 By: vernette Category: Recommended Business Opportunities

Homebased Work

With over over 5 million people per month searching for homebased work you better believe that there is more job seekers than homebased work available. So what does that mean? It means that you would most likely not land a work at home job. I don’t mean to be so blunt, but this is reality. It takes the average work at home jobseeker anywhere from 12-18 months or more to land legitimate homebased work. With the economy being the way it is today, it makes it even worse. The odds are certainly not in your favor.

Homebased WorkSo how can you change this scenario? Well, first of all, you must be able to beat out your competition. You need to stand out above the crowd with a specialized skill, career, etc.

There are many homebased work out there with high demand and low supply, like medical transcription, general transcription, graphic artist, cartoonist, virtual bookkeeper, translator, etc.

This puts you in the place you need to be to find a work from home jobs very quickly and easily. Without a skill, you are pretty much lost in the bottom of the pile.

There are just too many people without skills online looking for homebased work. Although you can acquire jobs like clerical work, data entry, etc., with little or no experience, these jobs are very competitive. Almost anyone can do these type of jobs.. They are extremely rare. You know what, 98% of these types of work are scams. Let us think for a moment. Put yourself in an employer’s place. Why in the world would an employer want to hire someone without any skills or education to work for them? Employers are in the game to make money, and lots of it too. When you see a job posting that says, “Work from home, no experience needed,” you better run. And make sure you run as fast as you can.

What I’m really saying is, you need to be a step ahead of the rest, stand out in the crowd. For instance, becoming a graphic arts designer, Desktop Publisher, Accountant, AutoCAD Drafter, court reporter, transcriptionist, etc., can set you on a path to being employed from home forever. Those are specialized skills. If you lose your job or contract today, you can apply for another one tomorrow, and actually start working again within a week or two like I’ve done many times in the past.

The good thing about these types of jobs is that they are also recession proof. No matter what’s going on with the economy, you will always have a job. See for yourself. For instance, go to your search engine and type in, “medical transcription jobs,” Medical transcription employment,” “medical transcription companies,” and see how many jobs you find.

Again, if you truly want to stand out above the crowd and land legitimate homebased work, it is highly recommended that you acquire a specialized skill, or several skills.

The more the better. You can actually choose a home-based career path, and study at your own pace from the comfort of your home. You can start at inst.org/

Virtual Call Center Jobs – Finally Exposed! Know The Truth!

August 16, 2010 By: vernette Category: Recommended Business Opportunities

Often a phone call to the customer service department of many companies, here in America, leads to a foreigner on the other end of the line. Fortune 500 companies and many marketers online are offering virtual call center jobs and other remote jobs to people outside the United States. This is called offshoring. Many Americans argue that this is taking away from the US economy, especially in times of economic crisis. Is this harming America’s economy?

That’s an argument that can be debated on both sides of the coin. Most companies and online marketers are outsourcing to India. Some companies claim that they have no choice. With the economy being in an uproar in the United States, some companies claim that they are forced to offer virtual call center jobs outside the United States. These jobs are also offered to Philippine workers. Many are college educated. They can speak good English too. Filipinos accept virtual call center jobs for as little as $1.25 an hour USD. This is the main reason why American companies hire offshore.

Internet marketers claim that foreign workers are more loyal workers than American workers. Is this true? Maybe, maybe not. So in essence, many employers whether online or offline state that foreign workers often stay with them for the long haul. Offering virtual call center jobs to foreigners is known to lower cost by 70% while increasing productivity. That is certainly a huge advantage for business owners. Many Americans are angry and will never get over the whole idea of offshoring. Remote jobs are so hard to find, especially when there is about one in every 25 remote jobs being legitmate. The other 24 are scams.

So many Americans, especially stay at home moms, the handicapped, etc are desperate to find jobs that allow them to work from home. Offshoring certainly does not help the situation at all, or does it? Is there a better way for struggling companies to avoid offshoring? Many angry Americans have a hard time answering this question. Several states are considering laws to restrict or prohibit offshoring. Unions are also lobbying Congress to end what they call, “madness.”

Despite the fact that offshoring can create a dip in the amount of jobs available To Americans, the truth of matter is, it can also benefit the American economy. Companies pass cost savings on to American consumers through lower prices. Also cost savings are passed on to investors through higher profits. Let’s talk about new sales. You see, companies also get new sales from Indian firms that boost imports from America. The U.S. economy also redeploys workers who lose their jobs from offshoring. And this is done in ways that boost growth as well. So therefore, offering virtual call center jobs and other remote jobs to foreigners can be looked at from “Both sides of the coin.”
