Homebased Work

With over over 5 million people per month searching for homebased work you better believe that there is more job seekers than homebased work available. So what does that mean? It means that you would most likely not land a work at home job. I don’t mean to be so blunt, but this is reality. It takes the average work at home jobseeker anywhere from 12-18 months or more to land legitimate homebased work. With the economy being the way it is today, it makes it even worse. The odds are certainly not in your favor.

Homebased WorkSo how can you change this scenario? Well, first of all, you must be able to beat out your competition. You need to stand out above the crowd with a specialized skill, career, etc.

There are many homebased work out there with high demand and low supply, like medical transcription, general transcription, graphic artist, cartoonist, virtual bookkeeper, translator, etc.

This puts you in the place you need to be to find a work from home jobs very quickly and easily. Without a skill, you are pretty much lost in the bottom of the pile.

There are just too many people without skills online looking for homebased work. Although you can acquire jobs like clerical work, data entry, etc., with little or no experience, these jobs are very competitive. Almost anyone can do these type of jobs.. They are extremely rare. You know what, 98% of these types of work are scams. Let us think for a moment. Put yourself in an employer’s place. Why in the world would an employer want to hire someone without any skills or education to work for them? Employers are in the game to make money, and lots of it too. When you see a job posting that says, “Work from home, no experience needed,” you better run. And make sure you run as fast as you can.

What I’m really saying is, you need to be a step ahead of the rest, stand out in the crowd. For instance, becoming a graphic arts designer, Desktop Publisher, Accountant, AutoCAD Drafter, court reporter, transcriptionist, etc., can set you on a path to being employed from home forever. Those are specialized skills. If you lose your job or contract today, you can apply for another one tomorrow, and actually start working again within a week or two like I’ve done many times in the past.

The good thing about these types of jobs is that they are also recession proof. No matter what’s going on with the economy, you will always have a job. See for yourself. For instance, go to your search engine and type in, “medical transcription jobs,” Medical transcription employment,” “medical transcription companies,” and see how many jobs you find.

Again, if you truly want to stand out above the crowd and land legitimate homebased work, it is highly recommended that you acquire a specialized skill, or several skills.

The more the better. You can actually choose a home-based career path, and study at your own pace from the comfort of your home. You can start at inst.org/
