General Transcription Jobs??
Does any know how i can get into general transcription & work from home without starting my own business?? I don’t want to do medical transcription because it sounds like a lot of terminology to learn. I can type 60 wpm with few mistakes.
(I know this is the wrong category but it seems to get more answers.)
You might want to check at your local College or University job center. They might have a bulletin board or online area where you can watch for typing transcription opportunities.

3I don’t know if anybody’s reported this before but the browser I have doesn’t display that page accurately… Are you sure this article has been tested under Safari? Would be awesome if you could check it out, although it might come from a bug on my laptop
4Jamill, I’ve had people reported that the blog doesn’t show well in Google Chrome. As for Safari, I am able to load it with no problem in Safari.

7Hi Giuseppe, someone else told me the same thing. Also there is a problem loading the site with Firefox. I am trying to figure out what’s going on. I will do a post on this subject as soon as I find a solution. Someone is working on this for me. Thanks for letting me know.

19There are many places that you can find transcription jobs. Check out http://www.productiontranscripts.com, http://www.nettranscripts.com, http://www.Cybersecretaries.com, http://www.tigerfish.com. There are lots more, but I’m giving you the ones that I worked work and the ones that I know are great companies to work for. Also another great way to find them is to go to google and type in “freelance general transcription.” Play with the keywords that you type in the search engine. I bet you will find many. Make sure that you have some experience because you will be tested and no one will hire you if you can’t pass a basic transcription sound file testing.

You can look at sites like http://www.wahm.com to find general trancription jobs. There are MANY medical transcription jobs out there. I bet you could handle the terminology : )
